Hi all,
I also made the mistake of buying a supposed 4gb drive on Ebay only to find it couldn't write anything useable past the the 2gb mark. I've opened the key up and found out he alcor chip is there and have used the LLF tool as above to restore the drives true capacity.
Only problem now is that when I try to format the drive it fails with a 'write protected' message.
Can anyone please tell me what I have done wrong?........READ MORE
